Our city experienced a great amount of rainfall (close to 10 inches) in a short period of time at the end of last week. This forced the evacuation of homes, school and road closures, and sandbagging along rivers and creeks. The water is now receding and recovery has begun.

We are on holiday for two weeks. We also realize how "mother nature" puts things in perspective having experience a major earthquake and aftershocks. We wish all a quick recovery after the flood. Look after yourselves.
