Blogging Challenge #2

Hello SMS bloggers.  It's time for Student Blogging Challenge #2:  About My Place.
Below are the items from the blogging challenge you are to complete:

1. Create your avatar – Avatars are a representation of yourself. Check out this post about avatars.  Create your avatar using one of the websites below.

2. Widgets –Add a new widget (gadget) to your blog.  It would be handy for your teacher and your readers if you could have at least these widgets: blog avatar, recent comments (10), recent posts (10), blog list, and archive.

3. Linking your name and user avatar – To make sure your user avatar is linked to your blog URL, go to dashboard> users> profile and make sure you have a nickname and your blog URL is in the website box. This means whenever you leave a comment, the reader will just have to click on your name or avatar and it will take them to your blog. Include the http:// part in the URL.

4. Create a Voki and embed it in your blog. -Visit the Voki site and create your own Voki.  Use your Voki to describe a public event you enjoy in your home town or somewhere else in MN.  Maybe the county fair, a festival in a surrounding community you attend regularly, etc.  Be sure you include the date of the event and some reasons why you enjoy it.
